Fall 2010. THE LAND/an art site is accepting proposals for new, environmentally focused, site-specific performance works. Artists whose proposals are accepted will be asked to spend at least one week as a resident at THE LAND's outdoor art site in rural New Mexico, and create a performance work specifically for the site. In addition, artists will be encouraged to (1) give a public performance of the work; (2) create and perform a companion work (or works) specifically for THE LAND/gallery in Albuquerque and/or an outdoor site in Albuquerque.
Residents are expected to provide their own transportation to and from the site, and to work independently, with a minimum of supervision. Please review proposal guidelines below for other requirements of site residencies/project proposals.
THE LAND/an art site is always interested in proposals for site-specific, land-based art projects.
