The site

The forty-acre work site and exhibition space is about eighty miles southeast of Albuquerque, a few miles from the village of Mountainair, and not far from the ancient ruins of Abo, Quarai and Gran Quivira. The setting is typical of central New Mexico's arid mountain landscape: piņon and juniper, desert grasses, yucca, and cholla cactus; a winding arroyo; a sharply rising rocky ridge with a view of the surrounding mountains. Mule deer, coyote and jackrabbits make their homes in the area, as do owls, hawks, juncos and piņon jays.

PLEASE NOTE: The site is open to the public ONLY during scheduled exhibitions and events.
